About Me
Hey there. Just a note about myself. I have always been interested in design and have many years of experience in graphic design and other similar elements, such as clothing design and sewing.
After being laid off of my graphic design job, due to the company’s restructuring, I found myself becoming interested in UX Design and Web Design. To me it is just another way to find ways to solve problems and enrich people’s lives.

Graphic Design: I am quite confident with this, as I have been doing it for many years. I like to keep in mind the client’s needs and what will be eye-catching.
Photoshop: I have been using this since around 1996. I am enjoying learning all the new features that come along.
Illustrator: I have also been using this since 1996. I know the difference between a vector and rastor image, etc. Always something new to learn in this program though.
InDesign: I am familiar with this program also. I am comfortable with it and sharpening my skills as you read this.
Printing: I learned a lot about the printing field in my job for Westkey Graphics. I even had to take a paper course to learn different weights and finishes of paper that is to be printed on. I am familiar with layout and bleeds, etc.
HTML: I have experience updating stories and articles for an online newspaper that was done in HTML. As well, I set up simple pages.
Web Design: This is my first website. Catching on quickly and I strive to continue to develop my skills in this area.
UX Design: On Christmas 2021 I dove into the UX Design courses at The Interaction Design Foundation. Please see my list of courses in the Education section. I am looking forward to exercising my new skills and will be updating my portfolio as I gain more experience in this area.
